Report on the Awareness campaigning programme conducted on
‘Conservation of mangroves of Sundarban Biosphere Reserve’
 
An awareness campaigning programme on ‘Conservation of Mangroves of Sundarban Biosphere Reserve’ was held at Gosaba R.R. Govt. Sponsored Institution, Gosaba, South 24-Parganas, West Bengal in collaboration with ENVIS Resource Partner on Biodiversity (Flora), Botanical Survey of India (Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India, New Delhi), Howrah on 24th March, 2022. Dr. Animesh Maji, Research Associate, Botanical Survey of India was delivered an interesting lecture on ‘Diversity, adaptation and importance of Mangroves’. A total of 135 students of class 11 & 12 attended this awareness programme. Dr. K. Karthigeyan, Scientist ‘E’, CNH, BSI & In-charge, ENVIS RP on Biodiversity (Flora), BSI handed over the Pamphlets of ENVIS RP, BSI to the Head Master, Sri Sukumar Hawli of Gosaba R.R. Govt. Sponsored Institution, Gosaba, South 24-Pargana.
