‘National Science Day 2024’
.BSI EIACP PC-RP (Environmental Information, Awareness, Capacity Building and Livelihood Programme, Programme Centre– Resource Partner) on Biodiversity (Flora), Botanical Survey of India, Howrah is conducting an awareness campaigning programme to observe ‘National Science Day 2024’ at Tarakeswar High School, Tarakeswar, Hooghly on 28.02.2024 (Wednesday). The programme started with a brief introduction about the importance of this day by Dr. Soumen Gantait, Programme Officer, BSI EIACP PC RP. Dr. Animesh Maji, EX RA, BSI delivered a lecture on this year theme "Indigenous Technologies for Viksit Bharat," emphasizing the importance of home grown innovations in India's scientific progress. He also delivered a short lecture on ‘Biodiversity and its conservation’. Quiz competition is also organized among the students. Mission LiFE programme was also conducted. Total 97 students of Class IX & X and 4 teachers were participated in this programme. The program ends after taking a group photograph of all the participants.
